Auckland floods: More heavy rain ahead for New Zealand’s largest city

New Zealanders in the flood-hit nation are bracing for further heavy rains recently with more severe climate alerts.

At least four people have died and a condition of emergency purchase continues in Auckland, which on Friday experienced its worst downpour on report.

About 350 people needed emergency accommodation, New Zealand’s excellent minister Chris Hipkins said.

He added there had been substantial damage across Auckland and the north tropical isle.

The newly designated PM also pointed out climate change’s part in the extreme weather conditions event.

Mr Hipkins also acknowledged criticism from local people that communications within the floods had been “too few and significantly between”.
