Arrests made over illegal beauty clinic

A female has been arrested pertaining to allegedly providing illegal beauty treatments at her condo within Bangkok, according to the Main Investigation Bureau (CIB).

The bureau announced the particular arrest of Kalaya (surname withheld), thirty seven, and Janyamon (surname withheld), 23. They are charged with each other running a clinic with out permission.

Ms Kalaya face additional charges of performing medical procedures without a license and selling unregistered medicine and medication without permission.

The criminal arrest came after the Customer Protection Police Division (CPPD) was notified by the Department of Health Service Support to the illegal remedies being offered by the females.

The pair allegedly ran an advertisement declaring to provide Botox and filler treatments with a nurse, a mention of the Ms Kalaya, along with 10 years of experience.

The authorities raided the condo on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road where these people found the potential foods in the middle of injecting the particular Botox and derma filler treatments plus dispensing medicine to customers. The condominium was full of medical supplies for catering to 21 customers who had booked an appointment that time.

Ms Kalaya produced what she claimed was her nursing license which the officers had been working to authenticate.

Pol Maj Gen Anan Nanasombat, the CPPD commander, warned people looking for beauty treatments in order to always obtain this kind of services from experienced medical practitioners.

Department deputy director-general Dr Panuwat Panket said beauty shots must be performed by doctors at a lawfully registered establishment. Remedies carried out by unaccustomed or unqualified individuals could result in blindness, infection or even death, he or she added.
