Alleged victim who spoke up against Ken Lim after 11 years said she ‘owes it to all the other girls’

One of Ken Lim Chih Chiang’s alleged victims, 11 years after her meeting with the music producer, was persuaded to turn to news reports about the legal charges against him.

The singer-songwriter was 26 when Lim, who is best known as a judge on Singapore Idol, reportedly inquired about whether she was lady and what might happen if he had intercourse with her right away. On July 25, 2012, Lim, allegedly asked if she was lady and what would happen if he had intercourse with her right.

It was only their next appointment. According to Deputy Public Prosecutor Gail Wong, the girl had met with Lim in his Hype Records office on May 6 to get advice on her song job.

After that change, Lim asked the woman to prevent telling her kids and sweetheart that she was meeting him, and asked if she was” also traumatised”, according to Ms Wong.

She did not receive a statement from Lim, who knew it was illegal to say or say something unsuitable.

The person, who is now based elsewhere, flew to Singapore to take the stand against Lim on Monday.

” Because, in her thoughts to her girl:’ Sometimes I owe it to myself and all the other girls … now that I am older and wiser,'” Ms Wong told the judge in her opening speech at the trial.

Lim, then 60, is battling a total of seven fees, which he will challenge in five distinct tests.

In March next time, he was charged with&nbsp, molesting a 25- yr- aged woman in his office on Nov 23, 2021.

In the years that followed, more officers reports were made, leading to the filing of additional charges against him for insulting another four people at his work or residence between 1998 and 2013.

Lim reportedly asked one survivor how she could “write deeper music” if she was sexually inexperienced, and told another” that if she could have sex for everything, why not have sexual for something”.

Before meeting Lim, the singer-songwriter claimed that she had already released an album and that she had continued to pursue her musical job without Lim’s assistance.

After he informed the girl about a new skill show to think about, Lim and the girl abruptly stopped talking in January 2013.

She told her words coach, Ken Lim, that she was dirty, and that both witnesses may witness, according to Ms Wong, adding that both witnesses may speak.

After her next meeting with Lim, the person’s husband and family members will even witness about what she said.

She made a police report after learning about Lim’s biologically offensive words allegations in June of last year, according to Ms Wong, and she made the decision to investigate.

She is not trying to defame him, she says. Before the girl took the stand, the attorney stated,” She is here now because it is true.

Gallows commands protect the names of Lim’s alleged victims. Unless they choose to do so in an open court, alleged survivors of sexual crimes in Singapore can give their information in secret.

Lim’s test continues at the State Courts on Tuesday.

If he is convicted of rape, he faces up to two years in prison, a great, punishment, or any blend of these sanctions.

If found guilty of uttering biologically insulting thoughts, he could be jailed for up to a year, fined, or both for each command.
