Alibaba Cloud launches Digital Heroes Programme

  • To bridge academia-industry distance, cultivate talent swimming pool
  • To extend its footprint to more states in Malaysia

Alibaba Cloud, the electronic technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has released a new talent effort and showcased various cloud-based, innovative solutions at Alibaba Cloud Day KL summit to deepen its commitment for helping Malaysia’s digitalisation.

In a declaration the cloud services leader launched its Digital Heroes Programme, a nation-wide electronic talent strengthening initiative. The guest associated with honour was Adham Baba, minister of the ministry of science, technology and creativity (Mosti).

The company said this particular programme aims to not just inspire young talent but also aspires to bridge the gap between academia and industry, in addition to furnishing Malaysia having a strong digital work force.

Built upon the present internship and AAEP initiative programme, the particular Digital Heroes Program encompasses three new key areas which includes:

  • MY Digital Talent in U Competitors is a contest open to students and educational staff to discover the world of cloud computing with training programs and courses provided;
  • Nationwide University Tour, an university tour across the entire region that trains and introduces in-depth cloud computing to local talents alongside business developers, answer architects from Alibaba Cloud and selected key industry gamers; and
  • Student Ambassador is an opportunity for local students to participate in Alibaba Cloud’s events which usually further helps all of them develop leadership, professionalism and communication skills.

Adham Baba said as part of Malaysia’s plan to transform the country into a regional leader in the digital economy, Mosti welcomes technologies providers to invest in Malaysia and leverage for the skill sets and capabilities of nearby talents.
