Jessie Chan, 81 years old, who lives in the same wall as Lim, is one of her neighbors who has a unique bond with him.  ,
They first met in 2020 during the circuit switch. Chan, who is one, faced challenges going out to get food due to her health problems.  ,
She struggled during the circuit breaker because so many announcements were made online and she did n’t always keep up with the news. Living alone, she struggled during the circuit breaker.
” My SGA partner and I visited Jessie to talk about the support she has received for people like her, and she opened up to us about her problems,” Lim said.  ,
” That evening, we had lunch and dinner with her, but I kept thinking about her.” Even though it was n’t officially under SGA, I still checked on her often” . ,
Since then, Chan and Lim have continued to cultivate their connection.  ,
Lim stayed by Chan’s edge throughout all of her meetings when she was anxious about having her knee replacement surgery in the hospital. And when Chan needed to have her teeth extracted and was in candy pain, Lim was there to assist her and remain with her throughout the procedure.
There was a time when Chan called or texted Lim to say that his cellphone had broken, and he discovered that.  ,
” I’m not her caretaker, but I also care for her and my mates who need enable”, Lim said. ” I often tell her: ‘ You have help? Only call me.'”
Said Chan:” Elizabeth is the best – she took care of me when it seemed like no one else was there for me again” . ,
” Age does not prevent me from helping my mates”, Lim said. As long as I have the desire to proceed, communicate, or speak, I’ll continue to work and care for those around me.
