A man was charged in court on Tuesday ( Mar 18 ) with stealing money and a credit card while board a Scoot flight from Singapore. &nbsp,

Zhang Kun, a 51-year-old Chinese nationwide, was allegedly observed by a female customer digging through the luggage before returning the plane’s overhead compartment to his seat, according to the police. The bag’s user allegedly was not in his chair at the time. &nbsp,

According to his charge sheet, Zhang stole a credit card, S$$ 150 ( US$$ 2), and RM$ 100 ( US$$ 2 ) from a black wallet inside a black haversack on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore at about 12.05 am. &nbsp,

Before returning the case to the room, the police said Zhang had noticed him concealing some of the bag’s contents in his coat. &nbsp,

The bag’s proprietor was then informed of the suspected fraud, and the user later discovered the items missing. &nbsp,

The testimony and the bag’s owner reportedly disembarked and searched for the guy while calling the police, who were called at around 12.20am when the plane touched down at Changi Airport. &nbsp,

Li was located within the travel area, and officials from the Airport Police Division arrested him for a fraud he allegedly committed.

Zhang, who was arraigned in court, said he was innocent and that he had never robbed the products. &nbsp,

He made it clear that the witness had not informed the aircraft operator or the team that they would immediately assault him. &nbsp,

He continued,” The person who charged me with fraud did not inform the sufferer of the fraud so that the items could be located in the bag on the spot.” &nbsp,

” The products were not discovered on me. Why did they claim that I did it? They must provide the proof for me.

CNA has contacted the police to inquire about the contents of the stolen goods.

Zhang claimed that this was his first time traveling to Singapore and that he would never be involving a solicitor. &nbsp,

A pre-trial meeting on March 27 has been scheduled for his situation. &nbsp,

Zhou may be imprisoned for up to three years, subject to a fine, or both if found guilty of theft. &nbsp,
