Thailand mulls wall at Cambodia border as scam centre crackdown widens

As a global effort to end a sprawling network of illicit scam centers grows, Thailand’s government announced on Monday ( Mar 3 ) that it is considering building a wall along its border with Cambodia to stop illegal crossings. &nbsp, &nbsp,

According to the United Nations, the assault is getting worse against fraud centers that have been committing substantial economic scams out of Southeast Asia, particularly those on Thailand’s porous borders with Myanmar and Cambodia, where hundreds of thousands of people have recently been trafficked by criminal gangs.

After a raid in the area of Poipet, Thai authorities arrested over 215 individuals from a fraud compound, and they received 119 Thai citizens from Thai authorities over the weekend. &nbsp, &nbsp,

” If it is done, how is it done?” What are the outcomes, and how will they help? Without mentioning the wall’s size, Thai government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub said,” This is a study.” &nbsp,

Cambodia’s authorities did not respond to a request for comment on the roof plan right away.

Thailand and Cambodia have an 817km borders. A 55km healthy passing between Thailand’s Sa Kaeo state and Poipet, which is currently just protected by razor wire, has recently been suggested by the Thai defense ministry.
