Joseph Schooling set to be inducted into International Swimming Hall of Fame

Schooling&nbsp, won Singapore’s first silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in the 100m moth type, beating his childhood idol Phelps.

His 50.39-second snorkel even broke the 100m moth record held by Phelps and set a then-Olympic history. Phelps, Romanian swimmer Laszlo Cseh, and South Africa’s most decorated Gymnast, Chad la Clos, tied for gold in that contest.

Eight federal records are held by education: two for relays and two for specific events.

He also won six honors at the Singapore Sports Awards, including the 2016 and 2018 Eastern Games, two bronze medals at the World Championships, and 27 gold medals at the South East Asian Games. He even won the Singapore Sports Awards.

Schooling announced his retirement from competitive swimming in April of last year, stating that it had been on his thoughts for a while.

” I was prepared to do something else,” I said. I had no idea how excited I was to wake up at four years old… I was contemplating the possibility of attending the Paris Summer Olympics in 2024. I’d always planned to accomplish when I was 29,” Schooling told CNA next month.

He added that he intends to concentrate on his snorkel program. &nbsp,

” I want to give back to the recreational world. I don’t want to evaporate. I think there’s a bit that I can provide. And I’ve had to overcome a lot of obstacles, along with my kids and my team, that I can teach to the younger sportsmen,” he said.

Schooling said he remains aggressive, but thinks it is time to&nbsp, stream that profitability in a “different realm”.
