Man who let 14-year-old girl smoke meth and sexually assaulted her gets jail

SINGAPORE: A substance abuser allowed a 14-year-old lady to dust meth and had intercourse with her on three occasions.

Muhammad Danial Hadri Mohamad Hidayat, 24, was sentenced to a maximum of five and a half years on Monday ( Feb 3 ).

He entered a guilty plea to four counts of drug possession, one count of sexual assault against a slight, and one count of laptop misuse.

Five similar claims were considered in punishment.

His word comprises prison term for the sexual abuse, taking meth, and illegal reporting of a computer access code.

Danial, next 22, met the girl electronically in 2023. On three times that year, he engaged in consensual sex with the small.
 
On January 30, 2024, Danial and the woman smoked meth up using improvised drug items. She was never charged for using the drug hoard.

Later that evening, he was detained at a property in Tampines. The woman was even arrested and the pharmaceutical utensils&nbsp, – a plastic container and a glass tube – were seized from her.

Urine tests from Danial and the woman tested positive for meth.

Danial was recently found guilty of using meth and given a reformatory sentence in 2019.

He relapsed in May of that year, and he regained it in October of that year.

Between November 2023 and January 2024, he admitted to letting the child use meth three times.

He also admitted to using meth every day from January 22 through January 30 until January 2024 as a result of his strain from losing his job.

After Danial’s imprisonment, he was placed under control and required to take normal blood testing.

However, he was unable to appear for his test without a valid explanation while he was on parole on six times in June and July of that year.

He relapsed in July of that year and smoked Ice as a result of the anxiety caused by his family circumstance.

Separately, Danial gave his SingPass credentials to his previous ally, who used them to start two bank accounts in April 2023.

According to Deputy Public Prosecutor Ho May Kim, Danial knew that the new bank transactions would probably be used to defraud other people.

A total of S$ 11, 812.32 flowed through a UOB bank accounts, of which S$ 1, 760 was identified as con money.

Another S$ 45, 508.95 flowed through a Standard Chartered Bank accounts. When the bill was frozen, just about S$ 595 remained in it.

Danial was convicted of this crime while serving a recovery order, and thus faced a longer prison term.

Prior to including the enhanced sentence, the prosecution requested at least five years and seven-and-a-half months ‘ imprisonment and up to six years and two months ‘ jail.

Ms Ho argued that Danial “actively facilitated” the girl’s consumption of drugs by giving her a” safe space” where she was unlikely to be caught by police, and supplying her with Ice free of charge.

This was an increase from his previous convictions of medicine consumption, the counsel said.

She highlighted the victim’s susceptible age and the fact that the crime involved meth, a Class A substance, as aggravating factors.

Given his ten past accusations of sexual penetration of a minor, Danial was also referred to as a” serial physical offender.”

A small who sexually penetrates a small faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a fine, or both.

A young person who gives in to the prohibition of a controlled substance will face a sentence in prison of up to 10 years.

Danial was subject to at least three years in prison for using meth as a follow medicine user.

For failing to appear for a urine test, he also faced up to four years in jail and a fine of up to S$ 10,000 ( US$$ 7,300 ).

Unauthorized publication of a system access code is punishable by a fine of up to S$ 10,000 or both, as well as up to three years in prison.
