SINGAPORE: A 50-year-old man was on Wednesday ( Oct 23 ) charged with the murder of a 41-year-old man at a Housing Board block in Clementi.
Toh Chee Hong, the alleged aggressor, showed up via video website in a district judge wearing a dark shirt clothing and dishevelled hair.
He is accused of causing Mr. Khoo Chin Wah Winson’s dying on Monday at or around 5 p.m.
If convicted, he faces the death sentence.
He will be remanded for one year with permission to be taken out for studies, after a request was made by the prosecution.
The attorney said this was for “scene revisitation” and to restore more information.
Toh, who followed jury deliberations in English, asked for the lawyer’s ask to be repeated before saying “okay”.
On October 30th, his case will be heard once more.
Around 5 p.m. on Monday, police and emergency services received an alert about the affair at Block 311B Clementi Avenue 4 at .
According to preliminary investigations by the police, Toh and the target are known to one another.
