Thai Airways says its Airbus A350 engines are trouble-free

In response to flight cancellations brought on by defective engines fitted on the same type of aircraft at Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways International ( THAI ) is operating its fleet of Airbus A350s as usual with no engine problems discovered, according to THAI president Chai Eamsiri.

Mr Chai said THAI’s Airbus A350s are routinely inspected and maintained. No malfunctioning website has been discovered so far, and the ship is operating smoothly, he said. &nbsp,

The THAI government’s confirmation came as Cathay Pacific Airways abruptly canceled almost all of its planned flights from Hong Kong to Singapore yesterday, as well as a number of other Asian services, citing a malfunctioning engine element discovered on some of its Airbus A350s, according to Bloomberg News.

Eight of Cathay’s nine scheduled Hong Kong-Singapore companies were scrapped, according to the firm’s site. The only trip scheduled to depart as of mid-morning monday was a Boeing 777 link in the day.

However, almost half of Cathay’s service monday from Hong Kong to Bangkok and those to Tokyo’s Narita aircraft were also axed. Of those still running, nobody are on an A350. Cathay said 48 personal airlines, including transfer feet, have been cancelled.

The Hong Kong-based flight, one of the biggest long-haul A350 operators in the world, identified the part loss on a plane that had to make its way back from a trip that was supposed to arrive in Zurich on Monday.
