According to sustainability experts at a forum on Tuesday, multi-sector collaboration is crucial for successful green public procurement ( GPP ) implementation in Thailand.

Asean Week 2024, which celebrated the 57th year of the local alliance under the style” Shaping the Future of Green Asean,” was the venue for the community held by C southeast. The C asian Auditorium at CW Tower in Bangkok will host the event until tomorrow.

Thailand has approved a National Action Plan for Green Public Procurement from 2022-27, according to Chuttree Phurat, chairman of the Thailand Environment Institute’s program on natural brand and economic brand.

She claimed that the program provides guidance for natural people procurement in all sectors, including those of state and local governments, universities, and the private sector.

She added that it promotes the production of efficient goods and established a system for communication and collaboration between agencies working together toward common efficient objectives.

The National Economic and Social Development Council is currently in the next level of promoting inclusion into the national action plan.

Hari Ramalu Ragavan, a deputy expert at Akar Asia Consulting, said that many different Asean states, including Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia, are working on alternative purchasing.

He argued that the government sectors must collaborate to ensure the success of natural purchasing collaboration.
