Death toll from Guangdong floods in China jumps to 38

June OF EXTREMES

State advertising reported this week that some places had endured “once- a- era flooding… (or ) the biggest since historical data began”.

The central government has allocated 105 million yuan ( US$ 14.5 million ) in emergency disaster relief for storm- hit places, state media said Friday.

Apart from Guangdong, the regions and parts of Guangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan and Guizhou have all been affected.

Northern China has experienced sweating in heat well above 35 degrees Fahrenheit despite the southern experiencing heavy rains.

Officials in a number of regions have issued heat instructions since the start of June, urging people to reduce their exposure to the sun and maintain their hydration.

Rain rain on Friday in the investment Beijing, where the metal climbed to 37C next year, helped some from the heat.

According to scientists, climate change causes severe conditions like heatwaves and heavy rains to occur more frequently and intensely.

China produces the most greenhouse chemicals, which are a big contributor to climate change, on the planet.

Beijing has pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, or carbon monoxide, to a maximum by 2030 and to net zero by 2060.
