After Pyongyang sent a new barrage of trash-filled balloons across the border, South Korea announced on Sunday ( Jun 9 ) that it would resume its loudspeaker propaganda campaigns against North Korea, according to the president’s office.
The North will be in charge of the increase of tension between the two Koreas, according to a statement that read,” We will install loudspeakers against North Korea now and carry out the transmit.”
As the tit-for-tat bubble detonations between the two neighbors grow faster, North Korea has sent hundreds more trash-filled kites across the boundary in a new campaign, Seoul’s government said on Sunday.
Since the latest campaign began late on Saturday, Pyongyang has sent an approximated 330 bubbles carrying sacks of garbage into the South, Seoul’s government said.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated on Sunday that” about 80 have fallen in our region so far, and nothing is now being identified in the air.”
According to the statement,” Our research shows there were no compounds that were dangerous to safety,” adding that the most recent batch of bubbles contained spare paper and plastic.
The Seoul town state, as well as leaders in surrounding Gyeonggi state, sent out a word alert to people on Saturday, warning about the bubbles.
In a Twitter article, Seoul mayor Oh Se-hoon wrote that” North Korea is making yet another low-class provocation with trash balloons against our human areas.”
