A woman was discovered dead inside a snake’s stomach in central Indonesia on Saturday ( June 8 ), according to a local official.
Farida, 45, was discovered by her husband, who lives in Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province, inside a 5m-long reticulated python on Friday ( June 7 ).
The mother-of-four went missing on Thursday night ( June 6 ) and failed to return home, obliging the village to launch a search, according to village leader Suardi Rosi.
Her father “found her things… which made him cautious. The place was subsequently searched by the locals. They quickly spotted a python with a huge belly”, said Suardi.
” They agreed to cut open the python’s chest. As soon as they did, Farida’s mind was soon visible”.
Farida was discovered inside the serpent, entirely clothed.
Although these situations are uncommon, there have been reports of at least a few deaths in Indonesia in recent years after being completely swallowed by crocodiles.
Last year, people in Southeast Sulawesi’s Tinanggea area killed an 8m php, which was found killing and eating one of the producers in a community.
In 2018, a 54- year- aged woman was found deceased inside a 7m php in Southeast Sulawesi’s Muna area.
A farmer in West Sulawesi went missing before being discovered dead by a 4m python at a hand fuel plantation the following year. – Agency
