Wild Rice theatre company founder Ivan Heng to receive honorary doctorate from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

In 2013, he was awarded&nbsp, the Cultural Medallion which is&nbsp, Singapore’s highest social glory.

The various two recipients of this year ‘s&nbsp, honourable doctorates from&nbsp, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland are award- winning composer and dance Akram Khan, who has worked with Kylie Minogue and Florence and the System, and&nbsp, vocalist- songwriter Vashti Bunyan.

In 2022, Sam Heughan, a Doctor Who star, Ncuti Gatwa, and Sam Heughan have all received honorable doctorates.

The trio may become celebrated alongside the category of 2024 at the&nbsp, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s summer completion on Jul 4.

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s director, Professor Jeffrey Sharkey, stated in a press release that “vashti Bunyan, Ivan Heng, and Akram Khan are three creative artists who are being recognized for their outstanding contributions to the world of music, dancing, and theater and their distinctive visual imprints.” Their honourable doctorates acknowledge their remarkable achievements and hope to persuade our finishing students, the next generation of artists, to push the boundaries of creativity.
