SINGAPORE: A 27- season- aged woman was on Monday ( May 6 ) charged over her role in a Wake Up Singapore content that spread a false narrative of stillbirth at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).
According to the Penal Code, Ma Su Nandar Htwe, 27, appeared in a city court and was charged with slander.
The Burmese national, who is a Singapore permanent citizen, is accused of “making an allegation” about KKH on Mar 21, 2022 by sending Instagram information to Wake Up Singapore that detailed a “fabricated profile” of how she suffered a miscarriage.
According to command sheets, she did it with the intention that Wake Up Singapore would publish the story because she knew it would hurt KKH’s reputation.
According to the article, a girl waited four hours to get COVID-19 and abdominal pains after being mistreated by KKH due to her mismanagement.
Titled” The child is likely dead- Lady shares a terrible account of her miscarriage at KKH A&, E”, it was published on Wake Up Singapore’s website, Facebook page and Instagram page, and broadly shared on social media.
On Mar 25, 2022, KKH made a police record over the content. No data of the alleged person were discovered by the doctor. The claims were disproven by officers studies.
Ma Su Nandar Htwe’s card has been impounded.
