The Department of Intellectual Property ( DIP ) notes that Thailand is still on the watch list in the Department of Intellectual Property’s ( DIP ) annual US report on intellectual property protection, which praises the government’s progress with the IP system.
Issued in April of every year, the Special 301 Report by the United States Trade Representative ( USTR ) identifies trade barriers to American companies and products based on each country’s intellectual property laws, such as copyright, patents and trademarks.
A provision of US law known as” Special 301″ allows nations to revoke preferential trade care or impose fines like higher tariffs on them that do not preserve IP rights.
Thailand remains on the watch record level in the statement issued on April 26, said Wutthikrai Leeweeraphan, the DIP director- standard.
Thailand’s review copyright work amendments made significant progress in improving safety and enforcement, according to the report. The WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty was made possible by these in change.
According to the report, Thailand even introduced the Patent Act Amendment to simplify the Hague Agreement’s process for registering business designs internationally.
