Morning commuters hit by train delay on Circle Line

SINGAPORE: Due to a train fault on Monday ( Apr 29 ), trains on the Circle Line were delayed, with commuters advised to add an additional 30 minutes to their regular travel time.

The incident lasted for about two days, beginning with a Social notice from transportation company SMRT at 6:09 am warning of a lag between the Pasir Panjang and Holland Village stations.

Afterwards, the affected segment expanded to additional stations.

” On Apr 29 at around 6.05am, due to a station problem, coach services are affected”, said SMRT in one of its updates on Facebook at 6.43am. &nbsp,

” Riders are advised to add up to 30 days of train travel time between the Circle Line’s Paya Lebar and HarbourFront MRT channels.”

In-train and train announcements were made to update commuters on the status of the situation. Additionally, it stated that there were completely bridge bus services available from Paya Lebar train to Buona Vista station and that normal regular ordinary bus services were provided from Paya Lebar station to HarbourFront station. &nbsp,

Regular train service gradually resumed at 7.30 am, before thoroughly resuming at 8.10 am.
