SINGAPORE: All train services on the Circle Line (CCL ) will resume normal operations from Saturday ( Apr 6 ) as rail expansion works have been completed ahead of schedule, said the Land Transport Authority ( LTA ) on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post, LTA stated,” We’re pleased to release that the inclusion of the CCL with our existing rail system will be completed more than a fortnight ahead of schedule.” Train companies on the CCL may continue normal operations starting on April 6, 2024.  ,
The train service include Harbourfront, Telok Blangah, Labrador Park and Kent Ridge channels.
The CCL and Thomson- East Coast Line ( TEL ) would operate on shorter operating hours on some days as a result of rail expansion projects starting in October 2023 to May 2024, according to LTA and transport operator SMRT.
Stage 6 of CCL’s integration with the existing system required temporary support modifications on the line, with the authorities declaring that one platform at each of Telok Blangah and HarbourFront stations may be partially closed from January 20 to Does 24.
The track runs were completed in 77 time instead of 126 days since first planned, LTA said.
This has made it easier for us to return to our normal organization and lessen the trouble for commuters,” the authority continued.
” With this, the implementation of the Circle Line is also live, and we can look forward to the beginning of the last three channels- Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward- by 2026″, wrote Minister for Transport Chee Hong Tat on Facebook.
