Singapore Airlines to launch non-stop flights to London Gatwick Airport from June 2024

SINGAPORE: Singapore Airlines (SIA) will launch non-stop flights between Singapore and London’s Gatwick Airport in June 2024.

The inaugural service will operate five times a week, the airline said in a press release on Monday (Dec 18).

Along with the current four times daily services to London’s Heathrow Airport, this will bring the total number of flights to London to 33 weekly services from the current 28.

Tickets for SIA’s flights to London’s Gatwick Airport will be progressively made available for sale through the various distribution channels from Tuesday, the airline said.

Subject to regulatory approval, the flight – SQ310 – from Singapore will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, said SIA, adding that the first flight will depart Singapore on Jun 21, 2024 at 11.55pm.

The return flight – SQ309 – from Gatwick Airport will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the first flight departing on Jun 22, 2024 at 10.15am local time.

The flight will arrive in Singapore on Jun 23, 2024 at 6.20am.

The early morning arrival offers customers options to connect to SIA and Scoot flights to destinations across South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, said SIA.

SIA will be using the long-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft for the flights to London’s Gatwick Airport, which features 253 seats in three cabin classes.

There will be 42 seats in Business Class, 24 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 187 seats in Economy Class, it added.
