NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: An elderly guy was killed after a motorcycle sidecar this individual was driving had been hit from behind by a pickup in Phrom Khiri district on Sunday morning.
Pol Capt Vorawat Wichaidit, a duty officer at Phrom Khiri police station, mentioned the incident happened at about 6am upon Phrom Khiri-Nop Phitam road in tambon Nong Hong.
Police and rescuers found at the particular scene the mutilated body of Nikorn Santhamit, 77, from Phrom Khiri area, lying on the road – with the left leg cut off. The motorcycle sidecar was badly damaged.
Eyewitnesses told law enforcement that Nikorn had been driving his motorcycle sidecar along the street, heading for his rubber plantation nearby, every time a pickup rammed straight into his vehicle from behind and pulled it further for about 50 metres. Nikorn was run over and killed.
The driver of the pick-up fled the picture..
Law enforcement were looking for the driver regarding legal action.
