A 14-year-old boy’s families have begged for forgiveness after he tragically shot two people inside a posh shopping center in the heart of Bangkok.
The boy’s father wrote a letter to the internet in Thai, according to which the home is fully cooperating with the government in the legal procedure.
His intentions are still a mystery.
The student was charged with premeditated murder and gun possession on Wednesday by Thai authorities.
The child allegedly used a modified revolver to flame blank shots, according to the authorities.
According to Thailand’s police chief, the two survivors who were killed were from China and Myanmar.
Three Thais, one Chinese, and five other people — one Lao national — were hurt.
The families wrote the letter in an update on Friday, expressing their” deep sense of regret” and stating that their child was now in the juvenile assessment and safety department.
The statement reads,” We extend our sincere condolences to the patients, the families of the deceased, and the injured from the latest shooting incident that resulted from our father’s behavior at the Siam Paragon office business.”
” This includes anyone who was evacuated and caused any sort of trouble, including the general public, travellers, owners of businesses and stores, and those who were involved in the incident.”
The health workers, nurses, police, authorities representatives, whether Thai, Chinese, Myanmar, or Lao, as well as all parties impacted by this incident, are also included. We regret the harm and affect very much as well.
” We accept duty as completely as we can for this event and are deeply saddened and shocked by it.”
The boy’s home hasn’t requested loan.
Police claimed the boy had a mental breakdown in the days leading up to the shooting, according to Reuters.
According to a court record seen by Reuters, the judge denied the police’s request to hold the suspect in custody at the mental health facility and otherwise ordered him to be held in juvenile detention.
