PATTAYA: Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has moved to stretch the operating hours of entertainment venues in this resort town to 1am, expressing their delight.

The Entertainment and Tourism Association of Pattaya City’s minister, Damrongkiat Pinitikarn, stated on Friday that the planned reference starting at midnight would encourage tourism and strengthen the economy.

According to Mr. Damrongkiat, members of the organization previously discussed the matter with Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and received a favorable response.

Operators must, but, wait for a government resolution before deciding whether to relax the rules governing entertainment venues, he continued.

According to Mr. Damrongkiat, Pattaya is a well-known tourist destination that draws international visitors to the seaside city both during the day and at night.

According to him, entertainment facilities are permitted to start well into the early morning hours in different nations. He acknowledged, though, that the regulations needed to be reviewed in order to protect communities. Both tourist safety precautions and issues like impaired traveling should be taken into account.

He claimed that the reference was a positive development because it would boost business revenue while also bringing in money for vendors and employees.

Mr. Anutin announced earlier on Friday that his government had investigate holiday provinces and areas where amusement venues may be permitted to remain available until 1am.

The Pattaya Nightlife Business Association’s chairman, Lamphueng Hamilton, expressed her hope that the government would extend the time because users had long demanded them.

Beer bar owner Sitthichai Veeradecha, 30, of Pattaya Beach, said he wholeheartedly supported the anticipated expansion because it would increase business profits.
