Shein told the BBC,” We have zero tolerance for forced labor.”

Additionally, the business stated that a Wall Street list is not officially planned.

Two dozen Republican and Democratic lawmakers signed the letter, which cited” plausible allegations of using overworked and forced labor.”

Before it was permitted to sell shares in the US, it also requested that the Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) force Shein to independently audit and confirm” that the company does not use Uyghur forced labor.”

Shein responded to the letter by saying,” In every market we operate in, we are committed to upholding local laws and regulations and respecting human right.”

It continued,” Our providers must follow a strict code of conduct that is consistent with the fundamental principles of the International Labour Organization.”
