’s indirect subsidiary, GMM S.A. (GMM) has submitted a bid to the Macau SAR Government on Sept 14 for the award of a new 10-year gaming concession for the operation of casino games of fortune in Macau SAR.
The Macau Special Administrative Region (Macau SAR) has called for a tender for the concessions to operate casino games of fortune pursuant to the Chief Executive’s Order No. 136/2022.
“This represents an opportunity for Genting Malaysia to expand its business in the leisure and hospitality sector, diversify its geographical footprint and participate in the recovery prospects of the Macau SAR gaming segment,” it said.
Genting Malaysia said it would make appropriate announcements once there is more clarity on the company’s position in relation to its bid.
