PM Lee to deliver National Day Rally speech on Aug 21

SINGAPORE: Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) Lee Hsien Loong will deliver his National Day Rally 2022 speech on Sunday (Aug 21) at the Institute of Technical Education headquarters in Ang Mo Kio.

Mr Lee will certainly speak in Malay at 6. 45pm, in Mandarin in 7pm, and in The english language from 8pm, stated the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in a declaration on Monday (Aug 15).

The National Day Rally will be broadcast upon local TV stations and radio stations.

CNA will broadcast the speeches with subtitles in The english language.

Mr Lee’s speech will also be transmitted in English upon Channel 5 and CNA938; in Mandarin on Channel 7, Channel U plus Capital 95. 8FM; in Malay on Suria and Ragam 94. 2FM; and Tamil on Vasantham and Oli 96. 8FM.

Livestreams will be available on CNA and CNA YouTube , meWATCH. sg and 8world. possuindo , as well as on PMO’s Youtube . com channel and the Facebook pages associated with Mr Lee plus REACH .

Live updates will also be provided on Mr Lee’s Facebook page and Twitter account as the speech is delivered.

Anyone who missed the particular live broadcast from the speech may also watch it on PMO’s YouTube channel or on PMO’s Nationwide Day rally page from Aug 22.

During final year’s National Day Rally, Mr Lee announced a range of measures to assist lower-wage workers and addressed concerns about racial and neighborhood fault lines .

The Nationwide Day Rally is viewed as the most important political presentation of the year. It offers a platform for the Prime Minister to address the nation and share important policy matters.

According to the National Archives, there has been a National Day Rally every year since 1966, except for 2020 when Mister Lee made the speech in Parliament instead due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
