Demise toll from northeast India landslide increases to 20

GUWAHATI, India: Rescuers within India’s northeast have got recovered 20 systems from the site of the landslide that smothered a railway structure camp, the army said Friday (Jul 1), after a second day of lookup efforts.
 
Security forces and disaster comfort teams are still race to rescue many more feared caught under debris at the site of the incident in Manipur state.
 
Most victims were reserve soldiers from your Territorial Army who was simply working on the railway project.
 
An army statement said that 18 people had been safely recovered so far, while 15 reservists and twenty nine civilians were still missing.
 
A recovery team was searching through mud and removing boulders in the search for more survivors, army spokesman Sumit Kumar Sharma mentioned.
