SINGAPORE: Singapore Airlines and its budget arm Scoot possess cancelled flights to and from Taiwan due to the “evolving airspace restrictions” amid Chinese military live-fire exercises around Taiwan , the national provider said on Fri (Aug 5).
In response to CNA’s queries, SIA declared that flights SQ878 and SQ879 scheduled with regard to Friday have been cancelled.
SQ878 lures from Singapore in order to Taipei, while SQ879 flies from Taipei to Singapore.
“The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. SIA will still monitor the situation carefully and make any kind of adjustments, as essential, ” said SIA.
Affected customers can choose to make reservation changes or seek a refund.
