SINGAPORE: A four-year-old female died of COVID-19 in Singapore on Sunday (Jul 17), the Ministry associated with Health (MOH) said on Tuesday.
She is the second patient under 12 to die from the coronavirus in Singapore. The Singaporean gal had no past medical history and was previously well, said MOH in response to CNA’s queries.
She developed symptoms of an higher respiratory tract infection and fever last Friday plus tested positive intended for COVID-19 using an antigen rapid test (ART) on Sunday at a general practitioner clinic.
The girl was prescribed medication for her symptoms yet remained unwell. She collapsed on Weekend night.
The cause of death was dependant on the state coroner to become COVID-19 pneumonia, the ministry said.

Currently, kids aged five and above are eligible for the primary vaccination collection. Those aged 12 and above that have completed their major vaccination series meet the criteria for the first enhancer shot.
Within June, an one-and-a-half-year-old Singaporean boy passed away of COVID-19. The reason for his death has been encephalitis due to COVID-19, respiratory syncytial computer virus and enterovirus bacterial infections.
He previously no other past medical history and was previously properly, said MOH last month.
