242 new Covid inpatients, 11 more deaths

The country authorized 11 more Covid-19 fatalities and 242 new cases accepted to hospitals during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Monday morning.

This compared with the 12 coronavirus-related fatalities plus 477 new instances admitted to hospitals reported on Sunday morning.

All the 242 brand new patients were local cases.

On Sunday, 1, 105 Covid-19 patients were discharged through hospitals after coping with the coronavirus while 8, 349 other people were receiving therapy (down from 9, 223 the previous day).

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4, 673, 629 Covid-19 cases, including two, 450, 194 this year, with 4, 632, 640 complete recoveries to date.

The accumulated demise toll stood at 32, 640 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 10, 942 so far this year.
