LUCKNOW, India:  ,  , At least 18 people died and 19 were injured when a bus collided with a milk tanker in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh state early on Wednesday ( Jul 10 ), police said.
” The vehicle rammed into the cargo from about killing 18 people and leaving 19 people injured”, Zulfiqaar Ali, from the city authorities chief’s business, told AFP.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called the crush “heart-wrenching”.
The vehicle was traveling from the eastern state of Bihar to the investment New Delhi, according to broadcaster NDTV.
Road injuries are common in India, with federal quotes reporting 168, 000 casualties in 2022.
In Indian-administered Kashmir, a vehicle that the passengers were riding in rolled down a heavy gorge in May, killing at least 21 people and injuring more than 50 others.
