14 arrested for suspected involvement in vice-related activities after police raids on hotels, residences

SINGAPORE: Fourteen people have been arrested for their suspected involvement in vice- related activities, the police said on Sunday ( Apr 28 ). &nbsp,

The suspects aged between 22 and 59 were rounded up during&nbsp, officers raids&nbsp, on establishments and residential units &nbsp, in the Bras Basah Road, Havelock Road, Shanghai Road and Orchard Road places. &nbsp,

During the procedure between Apr 24 and Apr 25, income of about S$ 40, 000 ( US$ 29, 360 ), cellular phones and other evil- related accoutrements were seized.

A 59-year-old person may be charged in court on Monday for his alleged involvement in knowingly receiving any pleasure as a prize for providing solutions that will aid the trafficking of any individual.

Investigations&nbsp, against the 13 ladies and the evil syndicate are continuing, &nbsp, said the authorities.

The officers added that they will continue to impose severe repression against those who engage in published sin activities.

A woman or girl who is found guilty of knowingly soliciting, accepting, or consenting to get any pleasure as an incentive or reward for performing any service and thereby facilitating the prostitution of another individual, is sentenced to a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and a fine of up to S$$ 100,000. &nbsp,

A person who uses a remote connection service with a Singapore website that offers or facilitates the provision of physical service by a woman or girl in Singapore in exchange for payment or compensation may face fines not exceeding S S$ 100, 000, five years in jail, or both. &nbsp,
