Zakir Hussain, one of the world’s greatest drum people, has died at the age of 73.
The Indian classical music symbol died of unexplained pulmonary disease, a heart disease, at a clinic in San Francisco, his household said in a speech.
Hussain was a four-time Grammy nomination success and has received the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest human honor.
Hussain was a young phenom who gave his first music at the age of seven. He is the son of tab legend Ustad Alla Rakha Khan.
