On Tuesday, representatives from various youth organizations wrote a notice to Education Minister Pol Gen Permpoon Chidchob asking him to force an e-cigarette zero-tolerance legislation in all public schools.
The Youth Health Promotion Movement, Youth Risk Reduction Network, and Youth and Family Development Foundation were just a few of the children sites.
They submitted the text to Pridee Phusinam, inspector-general at the Education Ministry.
Youth Health Promotion Movement in the South’s consultant, Abdulfatah Yusof, stated that his organization has continuously campaigned to shield young people from e-cigarette problems.
Mr. Abdulfatah claimed that his system met with children rulers from other networks last year and discovered that children as young as nine used e-cigarettes everyday and had easy access to them, despite tough legal penalties, when he claimed his system met with them.
Many young people are unaware of the risks of e-cigarettes due to myths like the idea that they are less dangerous, risky to another, or are cool because so many idols use them.
Phetlada Srattharattanatrai, president of the Youth Risk Reduction Network, urged the government to deal with the e-cigarette incident in Thailand and called on the government to get a strong position against legalisation.
