The youngest of four brothers who sexually abused their younger sister was given a nine-year sentence and 24 canes on Wednesday ( Jul 3 ) in Singapore. He was the final of the four cases that the judges dealt with.
The girl, now aged 19, had committed the deeds against his girlfriend between 2019 and 2022 when he was aged 13 to 16, frequently when she was asleep.
The woman, now 14, was aged eight to 12 years older during the period of the attack.
None of the sisters may become named to defend the murderer’s identity.
The girl had , pleaded guilty , to two counts of aggravated rape , in March.
Sentencing was taken into account for additional charges of aggravated assault and physical abuse.
In May, the oldest brother, 23, was sentenced to , 20 years ‘ prisons and 24 stroke of the cane , after pleading guilty to eight charges of aggravated sexual abuse by penetration.
That same month, the second brother, 22, was sentenced to 18 times ‘ prisons and 24 stroke of the wood. He had admitted guilt to three aggravated assault counts.
The second brother, 20, was sentenced to , corrective training , for at least 12 weeks previous quarter after pleading guilty to a second charge of aggravated sexual abuse by penetration.
In her simple punishment remarks on Wednesday, Justice Mavis , Chionh noted the second friend’s word but added that the youngest son’s situation was more severe.
The second friend’s insulting occurred over a shorter span of about a month, while the youngest sibling had sexually assaulted his younger girl for” an extended period of at least three times.”
She continued, noting that, unlike the youngest brother, the second brother was never charged with aggravated assault.
The girl displayed no emotion as the word was handed out, but he frequently snared glances at his court-appointed parents. After his sentencing, his relatives were permitted to speak with him.
WHAT HAPPENED
The victim was alleged to have four brothers and two sisters, according to the judge. She is the girl with the oldest.
The home house, which had three beds, housed all seven of the children.
The boys shared the “girls ‘ room,” while the girls slept in a bedroom that the court documents refer to as the “boys ‘ room.”
The teenager would enter the girls ‘ room to sexually assault the victim while he and the other brothers were forbidden from entering, aside from using the mirror to brush their hair.
Yet his various daughters were sleeping there, he continued to do so. Additionally, he abused the girl in both the boys ‘ and their parents ‘ rooms.
According to court records, the teen” claimed that he has a “porn dependancy” Because she” trusted him the most and do not report him to people,” he also” choose” to sexually abuse the target instead of his other sisters.
The lady never dare to tell anyone about the attack throughout the years of abuse. She expressed stress and sadness, but she continued to” only pretend to be happy by putting on a false teeth.”
Nevertheless, she mustered the courage to tell her class of her brothers ‘ sexual abuse on Feb 10, 2022. The class next alerted the authorities.
Muhamad Imaduddien, Lim Ying Min, and Kayal Pillay, the deputy public prosecutor, requested a word of nine to ten years in prison and a maximum of 24 wood stroke.
Mr Harjeet Kaur from law company Withers KhattarWong, who represented the girl, asked the court to take into account his younger years and his whole cooperation with the government.
She called for , corrective training, or the maximum sentence for rape of eight years and 12 strokes of the wood for each charge to run continuously.
