Interested buyers must register on Eventbrite from 10am on Jan 10 to 6pm on Jan 15. Successful registrants can then purchase and collect the sets on Jan 20 and Jan 21.
About 50 box sets will also be available for walk-in purchase on Jan 27, between 10am and 5pm. This round is restricted to those who have not already purchased a set on the earlier dates. Members of the public can purchase one album per NRIC number on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mr Goh Chour Thong, director of international and museum relations at NHB, said the board has “truly enjoyed 10 years of partnering with Museum Roundtable members for the Hongbao Campaign, and working with them to adapt the design of the Chinese zodiac animal for the year to reflect each of their unique characteristics”.
“We are very encouraged that the hongbaos as well as the limited collectors’ editions have continued to be popular with the public and sought after by collectors, and helped grow visitorship and appreciation of the offerings at each of the participating Museum Roundtable members,” he added.
Two online giveaways will also be held on the I Love Museums Facebook page, with a collector’s box set and a full set of the red packets up for grabs.
