Another WP MPs, as well as previous politicians Mr. Low Thia Khiang, Png Eng Huat, and Ms. Lee Li Lian, had taken care of his responsibilities in his presence.
WP expressed his gratitude to the individuals in particular for ensuring that the needs of the residents were met.

Mr. Faisal was first elected to the legislature in 2011 as a member of the WP Aljunied stone, which has since held onto its chairs.
The other recent Aljunied MPs are Gerald Giam, head of policy studies for the WP, Sylvia Lim, and Pritam Singh, leader of the opposition and party leader.
Before resigning over an adulterous affair with fellow group associate Ms. Nicole Seah, Mr. Leon Perera served as an MP for Aljunied.
