SINGAPORE: A woman hired an individual to beat her up and lied to the police that her ex-boyfriend was the one who had married someone else in an effort to get her back.
However, a different worker who was duped into the lie broke while being interrogated by the police and revealed the truth.
Sophia Gill, a 53-year-old Singaporean, was given a three-month jail term on Monday ( Mar 4). She admitted guilt to one count of lying to the authorities and giving false information to a magistrate, with additional two other counts being taken into account.
The court was informed that Gill owned and operated Raffles Human Resource ( RHR ) in Bali Lane.
From 2015, she was in a relationship with the victim, a 42-year-old person.
They were both executives of the business in 2016, and they ran a restaurant called iKebab at 23 Bali Lane at RHR’s facilities.
In January 2017, the gentleman married a second person after the pair split up. He began operating iKebab independently under a unique name.
The original fans filed numerous police reports against each other for abuse and assault between the end of March 2017 and May 2017.
On April 11, 2017, the man received an extended protection order from Gill. She was never permitted to get in touch with him or his family under the terms of the attempt, whether directly or indirectly.
When the attempt expired, he got a second one that forbade Gill from calling him or his wife and from taking any intimidating, aggressive, or insulting actions near iKebab.
Gill and her staff, administrative officer Nicole Chng Jin Wen, age 21, entered iKebab’s grounds on May 23, 2017, the day the fresh order was issued.
Gill and her ex-boyfriend got into a fight. She said it was hers when she picked up an iphones at the store.
Finally, her ex-boyfriend took a notebook that Gill and Chng had brought with them and promised to return it when Gill returned the iphones.
Gill and Chng frequently received ultimatums to depart, but they refused.
Gill and Chng were inside the restaurant when the man later locked the principal door, prompting the two women to call the police.
The two ladies lied to the police before locking them in the restaurant after the police arrived, and the man unlocked the main entrance.
THE FAKE ASSAULT
Later that night, Gill invited an aide general manager from her business, Chng, to join her in a mall parking lot.
She informed them that she wanted to record her ex-boyfriend to the authorities for assault. She instructed her employer to reach her so she could fabricate that her ex-boyfriend had caused the injury.
Gill was forced to have scars on her arm and leg as a result of his actions.
Therefore, Gill told Chng to memorize a fictitious profile that her ex-boyfriend had assaulted them both at iKebab.
Gill and Chng went to a doctor after that and informed the examiners that they had been assaulted. Gill had compassion in her hands, knee, and leg, as well as bruises on her arm and feet.
Later that month, she claimed that her ex-boyfriend had punched her, stepped on her, and pushed her to the ground, among other things, in a speech to the police about the alleged abuse.
Gill also filed a complaint with a judge over the same alleged rape and gave the police a second statement.
Gill’s program was initially supported by Chng, who lied to the police about the constructed abuse.
In July 2017, she refuted the fake allegations, saying that after her final moment of labor for Gill, she had resolved to tell the truth.
Chng received a six-week prison term in September of last year.
Gill was charged with making false statements, and the attorney requested three to five weeks in jail for giving false information.
According to Deputy Public Prosecutor Tan Pei Wei, Gill had repeatedly told sits to the authorities to find her ex-boyfriend in trouble with the law.
Gill gave the false accounts on at least four occasions, making the offences very premeditated, wasted authorities resources, and consistent.
Gill even refused to cooperate with the police during inquiries, and Chng’s confessions were the only ones that came to light after Gill confessed.
