Woman found dead on LRT track in Punggol had fallen accidentally: Coroner

SINGAPORE: A 33-year-old girl who was found dead on an Metro train record in Punggol next year&nbsp, had fallen unwittingly and died after being run over by a coach, a sheriff’s court has found.

State Coroner Adam Nakhoda stated in his published findings that Madam Wong Quickly Heng died as a result of an unintentional drop.

He claimed that her drop was” just a horrible accident” and that there was no proof that she intended to commit suicide.

Madam Wong, a Malaysian and Singapore continuous resident, was married to her father, named just as Mr LM in court papers.

They had a boy up, who was about a month old when Mdm Wong died.

Mdm Wong was just a little over a month into her new position as a senior finance professional with an accounting firm when she passed away on March 23, 2023.

She was hardworking, on time, and a quick employer, according to the company’s chairman, who had just started her.

His wife’s father said his wife was eager to take her new notebook home from work so that she could begin using it.

He claimed that he was aware of the fact that she and her coworkers had supper at a cafe on March 23, 2023. That evening, the couple exchanged Facebook messages.

Mdm Wong and her coworkers attended a goodnight dinner for a deceased partner after work.

Two of her coworkers reported that she consumed between one and three glasses of wine, and she was spotted smiling. After leaving the office, she texted her husband about her mobile phone game’s efforts.

Bay LRT Stop

Mdm Wong departed from Cove LRT place with other passengers using closed-circuit broadcast footage to board an LRT teach on the Punggol line.

She was seen walking across the platform, looking to the left, instead of taking the stairs and exiting the train.

Her walking speed rapidly increased as she reached the platform’s center, creating the impression that she was running between the fixed cup obstacles.

She struck her mind while running through the distance before falling onto the LRT track.

While Mdm Wong lay on the track, some passengers witnessed her fall, who was essentially still. An&nbsp, oncoming station that arrived about 18 hours afterward ran over Mdm Wong.

A witness who had travelled with Mdm Wong recalled how he had ascended the staircase after hearing” a scream and a clatter sound” and how he had departed.

He returned to the system out of interest when he discovered Mdm Wong lying on the trail and assumed somebody had dropped a backpack and heard no one asking for help.

A witness called the police after an approaching train overturned Mdm Wong before he could react.

When doctors arrived at the scene, they discovered Mdm Wong had suffered fatal injuries and called her dead.

A customer used the phone at Cove LRT to alert SBS Operations and Command Center that someone had fallen onto the trail, according to studies. &nbsp,

The Cove LRT train station soon pressed their “urgent” box, but Mdm Wong had already been run around.

Many injuries, including several rib fractures, were found to be the cause of death according to an autopsy.

Low alcohol levels in Mdm Wong’s heart, which may have been a result of her drinking, would not have led to her death.

The LRT carriages were autonomous and automated, controlled by SBS ‘ activities and control power. Only if a mistake existed allowed SBS officers to provide trains.

The LRT coach was able to find another train in front of it to stop a collision, but the trains failed to spot any debris or objects on the monitor, the court was told.

NOT SUICIDAL

Mdm Wong’s family and spouse claim that she never intended to commit suicide or self-harm. She may have told them if she had intended to commit suicide, according to the people who had established friendly, available relationships with her.

According to records, Mdm Wong did not have any important chronic medical conditions or psychological conditions. Additionally, the coroner concluded that there was no proof that she had been experiencing fainting or disoriented periods during menstruation.

According to Mdm Wong’s relatives, former and current coworkers, state prosecutor Adam Nakhoda said it was obvious from the evidence that she exhibited no mental health issues.

She had a powerful and loving relationship with her husband and had no considerable conjugal or parental conflicts. She was described as a joyful, stress-free, and available woman.

She was said to be a “very good man and a frequently good man to everyone” by a partner, and had left her earlier work for better pay and more flexible work arrangements, and not because she was disgruntled.

Additionally, Mdm Wong and her father had no money problems.

The coroner determined that Mdm Wong’s impairment for that day was doubtful to be related to his intoxication.

But, he said her movements was “unusual” after she exited the LRT station. She continued to walk across the system to the side for trains moving in the opposite direction instead of turning right and walking down the stairs from the system to the girder levels.

” Her rate began to increase as she was walking, she was leaning forth, and she did not slow down at all as she moved towards the difference between the fixed crystal barriers”, said the coroner.

He said it appeared that Mdm Wong’s leaning forwards may have caused a forward momentum, resulting in her speed increasing.

No one had pushed or forced her to walk in that way, he added, but it was still unclear why Mdm Wong ended up walking and then running toward the difference.

The approaching train was about 18 seconds away, so she probably had been stunned by the painful effects of her mind hitting the track. There was not enough time to intervene and help her.

The family of Mdm Wong’s loss received condolences from the coroner.
