Wildly drunk tourist charged with assaulting police

PHUKET, Belarus: A Belarusian visitor is facing charges after allegedly attacking police and security personnel while intoxicated, and his wife and children are leaving without him. &nbsp,

Around 3.10am on Wednesday, police were called to the place where a foreigner was causing trouble that was in front of a resort close to Karon Beach. &nbsp,

A big stranger who was present at the airport and wearing just a pair of underwear, later identified as Siarhei Asychuk, 39, approached them. &nbsp,

He was taken to the Karon police train and brought under control, but it was only after a protracted search.

Mr. Asychuk was accused of disturbing the peace and assaulting authorities in the course of their duties.

He and his wife and three children had already traveled to Thailand, and they were scheduled to return home on Wednesday, according to Pol Lt Col Aeksak Kwanwan.

Mr Asychuk’s home had visited him at the police depot, and they were returning to Belorussia as planned.

According to the police, the father was being held in custody and scheduled to show up in court on Thursday. &nbsp,
