BACKGROUND IN MUSIC
According to an appointment with Zaobao in August 2024, Dr. Wu, who is originally from Taiwan, obtained a master’s degree in music achievement from The Juilliard School in 1982 before moving on to pursue a PhD in music education.
Dr. Wu said in a YouTube interview with Chinese TV program Da Win Dining that was made available in November of last year that she was inspired by Japanese singer Julia Peng and traditions duo Southwestern Duet. She added that she grew up with boys, and that her father was actually from Suzhou, China.
After living in the US for 15 times, she returned to Taiwan in the early 1990s, Dr Wu told Zaobao, where she released her own music tracks. Additionally, she served as the number of a well-known music television program.
FATEFUL MEETING
Dr. Wu initially encountered Mr. Kwek Leng Beng at her family breakfast in Taiwan in 1992.
Mr Kwek had possibly found Dr Wu’s different background- from a PhD owner in music education, to a TV host as well as a recording artiste- intriguing, she told Zaobao.
During the meal, the real estate billionaire even asked her questions that ranged from politics and economics to songs.
