Singapore generates bunches of jute spend, but just a poor 7 per cent gets recycled. Greensquare aims to increase that amount by collecting reusable garments. They’re finally sorted out according to their problem – products in good condition are sold to vintage textile manufacturers in developing nations to help aid their free collection companies and other eco-educational activities. Those that cannot be resold may be recycled and sold as professional washing cloth.
What they accept : Clothing, shoes, home cloth or accessories. Do not volunteer ugly, soiled, wet or musty items. Soft toys, material, books, cutlery, used panties and boots, bedding and pillows are also not accepted.
How to donate : Cut off pre-loved things at over 30 sites islandwide, including Funan Mall, Fusionopolis or retailers like G2000 ( full list these ). If you have five luggage or more of gifts, Greensquare may pick them up at your doorstep for a fee of S$ 3– simply schedule an appointment on their website.

Thoughts is a deliberate happiness company that provides technical possibilities to people with intellectual disabilities. Among these are Thoughts Shops that sell donated things. Gross profit from revenue go towards paying their monthly accommodations and lunch expenses during education.

METTA WELFARE ASSOCIATION
The non-profit company accepts various types of in-kind funds. For pre-loved clothing, Metta Welfare Association donates them to a recycling company to get recycled, in trade for funds based on the total weight of objects collected.
What they accept : Generally, new electronics and furniture, and wearable preloved clothes ( no belts, bags, books, toys ). Nevertheless, the list of specific products varies according to their present needs and list. Test the updated list below.
How to donate : Deposit things at the Metta Building’s compost bins at Basement 1, 32 Simei Street 1, Singapore 529950. Start on weekdays 7. 30am-5. 30pm and on vacation at 8. 30am-4pm.
H&M
The strong style giant’s Garment Collecting program takes in old clothing and household fabric. Depending on their condition, these are then sorted into three categories: To rewear ( sold as secondhand clothes ), reused ( turned into other products like cleaning cloths ) or recycled for other uses ( like insulation material, for instance ). In return, you get a 15 per share cheap ticket for your gifts.
What they accept : Pre-loved garments or fabric in any situation.
How to donate : Cut your pre-loved clothes off at the compost bin at transaction bars at any H& M shop.
PASS IT ON
Think of this as the Tinder for secondhand goods. Pass It On connects the people with products to contribute to the people who need them, via its virtual system.
What they accept : Voluntary welfare organisations ( VWOs ) registered on the site can submit requests for items they need on the Wish List section of the website. Got products to contribute? Browse through the listings and accomplish someone’s list. Or if there is n’t a fit, post a picture and information of your things anyway and waited for Pass-It-On to attach you to someone who might need them.

Fixed up during the circuit switch in 2020, this Facebook party is a riches group that aims to help parents who may be struggling to make ends meet.
What they accept : Mums can produce requests for items they need – it could be anything from child or family supplies, and people who’s willing to help you move forward to provide these items. Decide to get or donate things you already have on hands – most common items requested for are method cheese and babies, followed by foods. But, refurbished items such as clothes, shoes, breast pump and even textbooks are welcome as well.
