‘We don’t abandon clients’, says law firm representing Najib ahead of final appeal hearing

Mister Zaid said their firm had agreed to take on the case because Najib has legitimate grievances regarding their conviction.  

In response to critique that his firm’s appointment as Najib’s new defence counsel was an attempt in order to delay the attractiveness, Mr Zaid said the case has taken much less time to reach the last stage than other similar cases.  

He added that the firm is preparing to proceed with the motion for retrial this particular coming Monday.  

“We may continue to act regarding him for providing we have his confidence, ” he mentioned.

Najib had been found guilty of seven charges of misuse of power, lawbreaker breach of believe in and money-laundering by a High Court choice in July 2020.
