When they first launched, their shio dish attracted interest for their inventive flavors, such as maple bacon and French chocolate, which gave a unique twist when compared to the common ordinary version that was offered elsewhere.  ,
However, the sisters have recently noticed more businesses all over Singapore offering their own variations of shio plate. Businesses, such as Bread Speak or Four Leaf ‘ Epi D’or, have purple beans ( with a slab of butter ) and honey ham varieties both. We are clearly intimidated because we were the first to devote our entire concept to a shio pan from a stalls stall.  ,
As the demand for the Chinese food grew, it was only natural for more companies to try and meet it, Serene was swift to add that it was” fair game.” Staying dynamic meant continuously innovating and making sure their distinctive flavors and standards kept customers coming back.
Some businesses have the labor and approach to flood the market more quickly than we ever had, Danielle said.
Despite the escalating competition, their partnership with Chinese cake network Hvala, which has four locations in Singapore and one more in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was one of their features. For the younger sister, it was” a dream come true”. She added:” I’ve been a fan of Hvala for centuries. I’d go there after test for a cure, but when they approached us, it felt surreal”.
Hvala initially reached out to them about ordering shio skillet for their shops, but the sisters ‘ production limits initially prevented them. That was when the talk shifted to a complete partnership. Collectively, they developed a personalized selection for Hvala’s newest shop in Raffles Specialist Centre, which opened on Sep 16. The female ‘ bakeries are consigned, and they receive a portion of the profits from sales.
The daughters are available to expanding their partnerships with all other Hvala locations, but the collaboration is currently only available at this shop in Bugis. ” We are open to working at more places, but it really depends if we get enough workforce. So for now, this is where we are focusing”, said Danielle.  ,
Then juggling three areas, the sisters rely on some staff to help control the Hvala exit, but most nights, it’s all hands on board. Danielle, the brain cook, spends her time in the commercial house, while Serene runs the stalls stall. After closing the stalls barn, Serene moves by the shop to help, and the same goes for Danielle.
