Vince Gill pays tribute to wife Amy Grant after she was injured in an accident

Gill and their daughter Corrina performed “When My Amy Prays” during his residency at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
“Last night Vince carried out his second concert of a four night residency at the Ryman. He informed the crowd that Amy was getting better every day after a bike crash last week that still left her unconscious for about 10 minutes and with a concussion (along with various cuts plus bruises), ” the post read. “He then introduced their own daughter Corrina that performed a track in honor of her mother…. Show stopper minute. ”
Their daughter transformed a lyric within the chorus to “When my mama prays. ”
“We’re likely to do this song I actually wrote for my wife Amy, ” Gill said on stage prior to their performance.
“We haven’t been doing the work much, but because of her accident plus everything she’s been going through we’ve been considering a lot about the girl, ” he continued. “I thought how sweet it would be on her youngest to perform this song I actually wrote for her. ”
Grant and Gill married in 2000.
