In such a situation, the dying statement is an unusually severe abuse.

In her last statements to the court next week, Lan made it clear that she was considering suicide.
” In my despair, I thought of death”, she said, according to state advertising.
” I’m so angry that I was foolish enough to enter the banking industry, which I have little knowledge of,” I said.
Before the ruling was made, a family member informed Reuters that Lan may file an appeal. Her attorneys could not soon be reached for comment.  ,
PROTESTS
In the one-party socialist state after Lan’s imprisonment in October 2022, hundreds of people started organizing protests in the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This was a comparatively uncommon occurrence.
Authorities have identified around 42, 000 patients of the incident, which has shocked the South Eastern country.
Lan, who is married to a prosperous Hong Kong businessman who is also on test, was accused of creating fraudulent loan applications to pay back SCB, where she held a 90 % interest.

Would Thi Nhan, the previous head of the State Bank of Vietnam’s assessment group, claimed during the test that Vo Tan Van, the former CEO of SCB, gave the reward to her in foam boxes during the test.
Nhan refused the containers after realizing they had money inside, but Van, according to state advertising, declined to return them.
