On Saturday, the prolific Japanese video game designer’s Kojima Shows shared a statement condemning “fake news” in response to people — ranging from 4chan customers to politicians — who have incorrectly discovered him as the cannibal of Japan’s previous Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
“#KojimaProductions strongly condemns the particular spread of false news and rumours that convey false information, ” said the statement submitted to Twitter. “We do not tolerate such libel and will think about taking legal action in some cases. ”
