‘ Most- wanted’ gangs in Nong Chok, preyed on regional people

On suspicion of attempted murder, assault, and possession and sale of illegal drugs and weapons, Bangkok authorities detained members of a junior group in the Nong Chok district on Monday.

In a 36-hour operation, according to Pol Maj Gen Theeradej Thumsuthee, chaif investigator for the Metropolitan Police Bureau, they detained six members of the Tang Doen Suea (tigers ‘ journey ) crime syndicate.

In the run-up to the Songkran holiday next week, he claimed, the arrests were a part of a battle against crime and violence.

The arrested defendants were identified as Nutthawut Traiking, 20, Nawa Ponmeedech, 19, Arak Pandoh, 21, Burapha Raksachon, 20, Parisa Saowarod, 19, and a 15- yr- older whose name was withheld.

In Soi Liab Wari, Nong Chok, police even seize nine illegal firearms and ammunition.

&nbsp, Pol Maj Gen Theeradej said the group had a lengthy involvement in criminal action that included assault, attempted murder, drug dealing and weapons trafficking. Despite having numerous arrest warrants, they had preyed on and frightened local people for a long time.

” They are the number one wanted gangs in Nong Chok”, he said.

Officers responded to a tip-off by spotting two of the wanted students at a convenience store on Monday at around 3.30am. One man entered the car while another was waiting nearby, and officers were certain that they were gang members.

Officers then searched Soi Liab Wari’s home in Nong Chok and detained four individuals before questioning them. The alleged crew chief tried to run away, but was quickly injured by jumping from a wall.

Nine handguns and weapons were discovered in the home by police.

” This gang operates a significant weapon business in the Nong Chok neighborhood. They have sold more than 2, 000 weapon online”, Pol Maj Gen Theeradej&nbsp, said.

He claimed that at least 20 of their clients attempted to obtain their guns when they attempted to do so. &nbsp,
