
Busrin Treerapongpichit, a former journalist and former company director, passed away peacefully on Sunday at the age of 55 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Busrin began his reporting career with the Bangkok Post in 1995 covering house and expense. With her unwavering commitment and strong editorial expertise, she immediately rose through the ranks and entered the field of financial investigating during a time of rapid economic expansion in Thailand.
Over the years, she covered a wide range of beats, including business, selling and expense, earning a notoriety for her in-depth research and dedication to literary integrity.
Busrin was appointed as Bangkok Post’s Business Editor in 2010, and she had a significant impact on shaping and advancing the publication’s company media coverage.
Under her leadership, the firm area gained greater trust and reputation, serving as a trusted source of information for visitors and the wider society.
After 23 times of distinguished services, Busrin retired from the magazine in 2018 to undertake a new way.
Friends and colleagues recognize Busrin as a determined and self-assured expert with a clear sense of purpose. Despite her strong-willed character, she was greatly cherished by those around her for her comfort, laughter and compassion.
She always burdened people with her sufferings, even during her illness, often choosing to elevate and care for other people.
Her endurance and strength in the face of hardship were inspiring, and her reputation will continue to be felt in the many lives she touched.
A funeral company is being held at Wat Bang Na Nai, Sala Rungsaeng, Bangkok, until Thursday. Monday at 4 p.m., the bathing ceremony took place. Every day at 6:30 p.m., an Abhidhamma chanting ritual may be performed before a burning ceremony on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Busrin will be greatly missed but favorably remembered by her acquaintances, friends, and loved ones.
